Neighbourhood Watch

- This is a message to inform you that PC Paul Haydon and PC Marie Scott will be conducting Poaching patrols this sunday morning (11th of Jan) in the rural areas covered by Knaresboorugh and Boroughbridge. If you see anything suspicious at this time please call the rural Police mobile number which is 07990784416, if there is no answer please use 0845 60 60 247.
- OBSERVATIONS ARE REQUSETED FOR A DARK GREEN RENAULT REGISTRATION SIMILAR TO N778EWR. THIS VEHICLE WAS SEEN A FEW DAYS AGO IN THE BOROUGHBRIDGE AREA, AND IT WAS REPORTED THAT 3 MALES AND A DOG GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND WERE OUT POACHING. REF NUMBER IS NYP-27102008-0081, MANY THANKS PCSO GLENN TURNER KNARESBOROUGH SNT.
- All are reminded to ensure that sheds and outhouses are secured and property within is safe. Thefts from sheds continue to occur where cycles are at risk of being stolen. Make sure you keep description details of your cycles and report any suspicious activities in your area. If you have a cycle make sure you lock it with a cycle lock. Lock your cycle to a secure cycle park in public places and not in secluded areas where there is a risk of it being easily stolen and not seen by other members of the public.
- If you receive a phone call on your mobile from any person, saying that he or she is a company engineer, or telling that they’re checking your mobile line, and you have to press #90 or #09 or any other number, end this call immediately without pressing any numbers. There is a fraud company using a device that once you press #90 or #09 they can access your ‘SIM’ card and make calls at your expense. Forward this message to as many colleagues, relatives and friends as you can, to stop it.
